The Opportunity
This is a permanent full-time position reporting to the Manager – Community Engagement and Insights. As the Senior Lead - Engagement, your primary goal will be to ensure that community stakeholders understand and have trust in Stats NZ. You will achieve this by engaging proactively with communities, establishing regular touchpoints, and implementing ongoing mechanisms aligned with our Strategic Engagement Model.
Responsibilities
- Proactively engage with communities to build understanding and trust in Stats NZ
- Establish and maintain regular communication channels with community stakeholders
- Implement and manage engagement strategies in line with the Strategic Engagement Model
- Analyze data and insights from engagement activities to inform decision-making processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of engagement initiatives

- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and insights from engagement activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
