Role Overview

The National Manager High Needs Services is a permanent, full-time position within the New Zealand (nationwide) (nationwide) Government. This role requires regular national travel and is based in New Zealand (nationwide) (nationwide).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage high needs services to ensure the best outcomes for tamariki and rangatahi.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and service providers.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the delivery of high needs services across New Zealand (nationwide) (nationwide).
• Monitor and report on the performance of high needs services to inform decision-making processes.

What We're Looking For

• A proven track record in managing complex service delivery systems, particularly in the field of child welfare or related areas.
• Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
• A deep understanding of the values and principles guiding Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children's work, including putting tamariki first, the importance of aroha, respecting mana, and more.
