About the Role
As a Special Education STACC Teacher at Keller ISD, you'll deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet the diverse needs of your students. Whether you work in a self-contained classroom, collaborate as part of a team, serve in a departmental role, or provide itinerant support across multiple campus locations, you'll be central to your students' academic success and personal growth.
What You'll Do
- Create and adapt curriculum aligned with students' individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability levels
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons with differentiated instructional materials and strategies
- Foster intellectual, emotional, physical, and social development through purposeful learning activities and experiences
- Assess student progress, adjust instruction, and communicate growth with families and special education teams
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and specialists to ensure inclusive, coordinated learning
- Maintain detailed records and documentation as required by special education regulations and district policy
- Work flexibly across assigned teaching models—self-contained, collaborative team, departmental, or itinerant positions
What We're Looking For
- Valid Texas teaching certificate or eligibility in Special Education
- Strong understanding of special education law, IEP processes, and differentiated instruction
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Excellent organizational, communication, and planning skills
- Commitment to high expectations, equity, and student-centered learning
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in various classroom and support settings
