About the Role
The Related Services Program Specialist serves as a key member of Keller ISD's Special Education Department, working under the direction of the Special Education Coordinator. This position is responsible for supporting the implementation, coordination, and compliance of related services programs funded through federal IDEA-B grants. The role ensures all special education students receive the support services outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), bridging administrative oversight with direct service delivery.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate related services such as speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and counseling across school sites
- Ensure compliance with IDEA-B requirements and special education regulations
- Manage caseloads, schedules, and documentation for related services providers
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and service providers to implement IEPs effectively
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and student progress data
- Support coordination of preschool special education services funded through IDEA-B Preschool grants
- Contribute to special education initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in special education, education, or a related field
- Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and special education law and best practices
- Experience in a school setting or with special education programs (preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and service providers
- Detail-oriented approach to compliance and documentation
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs
