Metro Nashville Public Schools seeks a dedicated full-time kindergarten teacher for Glenview school in Nashville, Davidson County. Lead young learners through an exciting year of foundational academics, social-emotional growth, and meaningful discovery during the 2026-2027 school year.

About the Role

This is a full-time, school-based teaching position serving kindergarten students at Glenview. You will work within Metro Nashville Public Schools' certificated teacher framework, with a standard 201-day contract year. As part of a thriving teaching team, you'll design engaging lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with families and colleagues to ensure every student has the support they need to succeed.

What You'll Do

• Create developmentally appropriate learning experiences that build early literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills
• Foster social-emotional development and help students build healthy relationships with peers
• Design and implement curriculum aligned with district standards and student-centered best practices
• Assess student learning through observation, work samples, and formal assessments; communicate progress to families
• Collaborate with special educators, support staff, and fellow teachers to meet diverse student needs
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment where all learners can thrive

What We're Looking For

• Valid Tennessee kindergarten or elementary education certification
• Passion for early childhood education and student growth
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to differentiate instruction and support learners across achievement levels
