KIPP is hiring a full-time Elementary Support Teacher to join our Nashville, TN school community for the 2026-27 school year. As an elementary support teacher, you will work directly with students in grades K-5 who need targeted academic and social-emotional support, collaborating closely with classroom teachers to help every learner succeed.

About This Position

This is a full-time, school-based position supporting elementary students across core academic subjects and skill development. You'll work in a dynamic school environment where your primary focus is helping students who benefit from additional instruction, guided practice, and encouragement to meet grade-level standards. Whether you're providing intervention in reading and math, supporting small-group instruction, or helping students develop confidence in the classroom, your role is essential to our mission of closing opportunity gaps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted academic support to small groups and individual students in reading, mathematics, and writing
  • Assist classroom teachers during whole-group and differentiated instruction
  • Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the classroom teacher
  • Reinforce classroom learning through supplemental activities and practice
  • Support students' social-emotional development and positive behavior
  • Organize and maintain materials, record student data, and contribute to a structured learning environment
