Supervisor, Social Services, Long Term Care (LTC)

Good Samaritan is seeking a dedicated Supervisor of Social Services to lead programs and support residents at our Long Term Care facility in Rapid City, Michigan. This full-time position offers the opportunity to serve seniors in a supportive, values-driven environment while directing meaningful work that improves residents' quality of life.

About the Role

As Supervisor of Social Services in our Long Term Care setting, you'll oversee the social services department, manage team performance, and ensure residents receive comprehensive support for their emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. You'll report to senior leadership and serve as a key advocate for residents' needs and preferences throughout their care journey.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and mentor social services staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluation, and professional development
• Develop, implement, and evaluate social services programs that promote resident engagement, community connection, and quality of life
• Coordinate resident assessments and participate in care planning to address psychosocial and social needs
• Respond to resident and family concerns with compassion and effective problem-solving
• Maintain regulatory compliance, proper documentation, and quality standards for social services delivery in Long Term Care
• Work day shifts and support facility operations as needed

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in social services, Long Term Care, senior care, or comparable healthcare settings
• Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of Long Term Care regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to resident dignity, privacy, and person-centered care approaches
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
