Cook, Long Term Care (LTC) – Full Time

Good Samaritan is hiring a full-time Cook for our Long Term Care (LTC) facility in Syracuse, Otoe County, Nebraska. About the Role

As our Cook in long-term care, you'll prepare and serve nutritious meals that directly support resident health and satisfaction. This full-time position averages 32 hours per week with varying shifts to meet facility needs. You'll work alongside our dietary and care team in a Christian environment dedicated to quality service and resident dignity.

What You'll Do

• Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals tailored to the dietary requirements of long-term care residents
• Adapt recipes and portion sizes for residents with dysphagia, diabetes, renal conditions, or other medical restrictions
• Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
• Coordinate with nursing and dietary staff to address individual resident needs and preferences
• Keep the kitchen organized, clean, and well-stocked with quality ingredients
• Support inventory management and participate in food ordering processes

What We're Looking For

• Experience working as a cook in healthcare, senior living, or institutional food service
• Understanding of nutrition and food safety practices
• Ability to work flexible schedules as needed by the facility

Compensation and Schedule

This full-time position offers a salary range of $15.50 to $23.50 per hour. Hours average 32 per week with shifts varying based on operational needs.
