Superintendent – Commercial Construction

Join gpac as a Superintendent overseeing commercial construction projects in the greater Salt Lake County area. We're seeking an experienced leader to manage on-site operations for our expanding portfolio of building initiatives in Magna and surrounding communities.

Position Summary

This full-time Superintendent role places you at the heart of our commercial construction operations. You'll lead daily site activities, coordinate with trades and subcontractors, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget while maintaining our high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily activities on active construction sites and manage crew productivity
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to execute work according to schedule and specifications
• Monitor budget performance and report on project status, costs, and timeline forecasts to management
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company quality standards
• Inspect completed work and materials to verify they meet contract requirements and industry best practices
• Manage equipment, tools, and resources to support efficient project delivery
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders regarding project progress and any potential issues

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Superintendent or similar leadership role in commercial construction
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and building codes
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple trades and coordinate complex job sites
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently on site
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
