This position sits at the intersection of business development and project execution, where you will prepare accurate bids, win new work, and see each job through to successful close‑out.

What You'll Do

• Meet with architects, property managers, and facility owners to understand project scope and specifications
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and material cost calculations using industry‑standard estimating software
• Prepare professional proposals that include labor, equipment, and markup while maintaining target margins
• Coordinate with project supervisors to schedule crews, sequence work, and monitor progress against the budget
• Track change orders, update estimates, and communicate any cost impacts to stakeholders in real time
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality specifications throughout the job lifecycle
• Maintain accurate records of bids, awards, and job costs for reporting and future reference
• Build lasting relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals

What We're Looking For

• Minimum three years of experience as an estimator or project manager in commercial painting or a closely related coating trade
• Proven ability to read architectural drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Proficiency with estimating platforms such as Sage Estimating, ProEst, or similar tools
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail when calculating quantities and costs
• Excellent communication skills for presenting proposals and negotiating contracts
• Knowledge of various paint systems, surface preparation methods, and application techniques
• Capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects while keeping each on schedule and within budget
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits across Los Angeles County
