Role Overview

As a Senior Estimator at gpac, you'll lead bid development and project costing for acoustic ceiling installations across the San Mateo region. You'll partner with established, respected contractors who value precision, efficiency, and long-term client relationships. Your expertise will directly shape project viability, team capacity planning, and profitable growth within a dynamic construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and labor forecasts for acoustic ceiling projects of varying scope and complexity
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and site conditions to inform accurate project pricing
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, and clients to clarify requirements and refine competitive bids
• Track materials, labor, and overhead to identify cost drivers and improve future estimating accuracy
• Mentor junior estimators and support project teams during delivery phases

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating construction projects, with acoustic ceiling or interior systems experience preferred
• Proficiency with takeoff software, spreadsheet modeling, and bid management tools
• Understanding of building codes, labor productivity, and regional market pricing
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with multi-disciplinary teams and clients
• Leadership experience; comfort mentoring or supervising junior staff
