Advance Stores Company seeks a reliable and customer-focused Store Driver in Smithfield, Isle of Wight County to join our delivery and logistics team. This is a part-time position ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced automotive retail environment and building strong relationships with professional customers.
About the Role
As a Store Driver, you'll be the face of Advance Stores Company in our local community, delivering automotive parts and supplies directly to our professional customers. You'll manage a mix of scheduled deliveries, customer pickups, and promotional outreach while maintaining excellent service standards.
What You'll Do
- Pick and stage parts orders for delivery to MainStreet and National Pro customers
- Safely transport automotive parts and supplies using a company vehicle
- Collect returns and cores from customer locations
- Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers, promotional materials, and information about loyalty programs to customers on your route
- Handle daily cash and credit account collections from professional accounts
- Build and strengthen customer relationships by providing knowledgeable service and gathering customer feedback to share with store leadership
- Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure timely completion of routes
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating a vehicle reliably and safely
- Ability to lift and handle parts and inventory (up to 50 lbs regularly)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Organized, detail-oriented approach to managing multiple deliveries and collections
- Professional demeanor and ability to represent Advance Stores Company positively
- Flexibility to work part-time hours that may include early mornings or mid-week shifts
