Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential tax advisory firm in Hamburg seeking a Tax Office Specialist or IT Specialist (m/f/d) with focus on office organization and DATEV systems.

In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients on all DATEV-related matters, from user rights management to day-to-day troubleshooting. You'll guide new client onboarding by connecting them to DATEV, configuring interfaces to their ERP systems, and managing technical handovers. Internally, you'll advise accounting and tax advisory colleagues on DATEV questions and issues as they arise.

You will take ownership of the firm's DATEV environment organization, including permissions, updates, licenses, and documentation. There is opportunity to contribute ideas on streamlining recurring processes with AI or other tools, though this is not the primary focus of the position.

What We're Looking For

• Completed training as a tax office specialist (Steuerfachangestellter) with strong IT interest, or IT-focused training such as IT specialist or IT systems administrator with experience in DATEV environments, ideally within tax advisory settings
• Extensive knowledge of DATEV applications such as Kanzlei-Rechnungswesen, Unternehmen online, or comparable DATEV solutions
• Structured, independent working style with ability to manage multiple simultaneous inquiries
• Clear, patient communication skills, even when addressing recurring client issues
• Ideally, you have completed FAIT (IT Specialist Assistant) certification or are interested in pursuing this development path
• Fluent German and good English skills
