About the Role
We're seeking experienced stage crew professionals to support theatrical productions, concerts, and special events at Upper Darby High School's Performing Arts Center. As a stage crew member, you'll be integral to bringing performances to life through technical expertise, problem-solving, and reliable teamwork. This part-time role compensates team members at $9.27 per hour.
What You'll Do
- Set up and break down stage equipment, sets, props, and lighting for productions
- Operate technical systems including lights, sound, and rigging during rehearsals and performances
- Ensure stage safety and maintain equipment in proper working condition
- Collaborate with directors, performers, and other crew members to execute productions on schedule
- Assist with load-in and load-out of visiting productions and special events
- Maintain detailed records of equipment, set configurations, and production notes
What We're Looking For
- Minimum one year of documented experience working on Upper Darby High School's stage crew
- Current active status as a member of Upper Darby High School Stage Crew
- Willingness to commit time beyond standard school hours, including evenings, weekends, and potentially during school breaks
- Technical aptitude with stage equipment, lighting systems, and sound technology
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work safely around theatrical equipment and follow safety protocols
- Dependability and attention to detail
