About the Role

As Sr Analyst, Business Planning and Development at Pilot Company, you'll own projects that directly influence how the organization plans for growth, enters new markets, and allocates resources. You'll synthesize business data, market trends, and operational metrics into actionable strategies that leadership uses to make million-dollar decisions. This position reports to the Strategic Planning and Corporate Development team and requires both analytical rigor and the communication skills to translate complexity into clarity.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate business opportunities and competitive positioning
• Gather, analyze, and interpret market research, industry benchmarks, and internal performance data
• Prepare strategic recommendations and business plans for executive review and board-level discussions
• Support merger, acquisition, partnership, or organic growth evaluation processes with rigorous due diligence
• Track key performance indicators and business metrics to inform ongoing strategic decisions
• Collaborate across departments to align business plans with operational and financial capabilities
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and external stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in business planning, corporate development, strategic analysis, or related business intelligence roles
• Strong financial acumen: comfort with Excel, financial statements, and valuation methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work with large datasets and draw meaningful insights
• Demonstrated ability to write clearly and present complex information to senior audiences
• Self-directed with strong project management skills; ability to own initiatives from conception through delivery
• Intellectual curiosity about market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and business strategy
