About the Role
As an SIU Field Investigator with Ethos Risk Services, you'll be the eyes and ears on the ground for insurance claims investigations. This full-time position places you at the center of our fraud detection and surveillance operations, where your fieldwork directly impacts the accuracy and integrity of claims decisions. You'll work independently in Detroit and surrounding areas, gathering evidence and documenting findings that help our clients make informed decisions.
What You'll Do
- Conduct surveillance operations and field investigations on assigned cases
- Interview witnesses, claimants, and other relevant parties
- Photograph and document evidence at investigation sites
- Prepare detailed, accurate investigation reports for claims professionals
- Operate surveillance equipment and maintain investigation logs
- Follow investigation protocols and safety procedures consistently
- Communicate findings to management and legal teams
- Transport equipment and materials safely to and from investigation locations
What We're Looking For

- Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record
- Physical capability to work in outdoor environments and perform field investigations
