About the Role
You'll primarily work at Bridgeview and Hopewell Elementary Schools, with flexibility to serve other district buildings as student enrollment and program needs evolve. This role combines direct instruction, collaborative teaching, and individualized student support to help every learner succeed.
What You'll Do
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students' IEPs and learning profiles
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to create inclusive classroom experiences
- Design and implement evidence-based interventions and accommodations
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies based on ongoing assessment data
- Participate in IEP development and progress monitoring meetings
- Maintain detailed records of student achievement and instructional planning
- Support positive behavior strategies and social-emotional skill development
What We're Looking For
- Valid Iowa teaching license with K-8 Instructional Strategist I endorsement and MM endorsement
- Demonstrated expertise in special education assessment and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively with colleagues and families
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all students
- Experience with data-driven decision-making and progress monitoring
