About the Role
As VP of Marketing at TLDR, you'll own the complete marketing function for a platform with over 7 million subscribers. You'll shape how the world's most engaged tech audience discovers, understands, and advocates for TLDR. This is not a startup experiment—you're scaling marketing for an established, profitable business with proven product-market fit.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to acquire subscribers and retain a highly engaged, technical audience
- Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and content marketing across all channels
- Lead demand generation campaigns targeting tech professionals in software engineering, AI, cybersecurity, startups, and product management
- Build and manage marketing team performance, defining KPIs and driving accountability
- Partner with product, editorial, and business development teams to align marketing with company growth objectives
- Analyze competitive landscape and market opportunities to inform strategic recommendations
- Manage marketing budget allocation and optimize spend across channels
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a VP-level or equivalent leadership role
- Proven track record scaling subscriber or user acquisition for a B2B or B2C tech product
- Deep familiarity with the tech community, startup ecosystem, and developer/engineer audience
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into strategy and action
- Experience building and leading high-performing marketing teams
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
