Software Engineer, DevOps

Conga is hiring a Software Engineer specialising in DevOps for our Bangalore office. This full-time position offers the opportunity to design and operate the infrastructure that powers commercial operations for thousands of global enterprises, blending software development expertise with operational excellence.

What This Role Involves

You'll work across the entire software deployment lifecycle, taking ownership of critical infrastructure and system reliability initiatives. This role requires you to bridge development and operations, collaborating closely with engineering teams to architect cloud solutions, automate complex processes, and build the frameworks that enable rapid, confident deployments. You'll evaluate emerging technologies, drive improvements to our DevOps practices, and directly impact how Conga's platform scales globally.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable consistent, automated application delivery
• Build containerised infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring scalability and high availability
• Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources across AWS or Azure
• Deploy and configure observability tools including Prometheus and Grafana to monitor system health and performance
• Establish GitOps workflows using Argo CD to manage deployments reliably across multiple environments
• Develop Shell and PowerShell automation scripts to streamline operational tasks
• Create and maintain technical documentation covering system architecture, runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures
• Collaborate with development teams to diagnose deployment issues and optimise application performance
• Evaluate and integrate new DevOps tools and industry best practices to enhance platform reliability

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional DevOps engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related experience
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
• Strong practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker
• Competency in shell scripting (Bash/Shell) and PowerShell
• Experience with infrastructure orchestration and provisioning tools
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent qualification
• Clear communication abilities and comfort explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences
