Software Engineer – C# (Desktop app)

Auditdata is hiring a Software Engineer specializing in C# desktop application development for a full-time remote position. You'll shape medical device software that enables audiologists to conduct accurate hearing assessments and support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Role Overview

You'll join our engineering team developing audiometry testing software—a core platform for hearing healthcare. Our products combine a Windows desktop application used by clinics worldwide with a cloud-based management system for administrative operations. Your work directly impacts patient diagnosis and clinical outcomes within a regulated, compliance-focused environment that prioritizes safety and quality over speed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain audiometry testing features for Windows desktop and web platforms
  • Build WPF user interfaces using MVVM architecture and Blazor Server components
  • Develop and enhance REST APIs for clinic workflows
  • Translate clinical requirements with product leadership into technical solutions
  • Integrate hardware and firmware systems with software applications
  • Write comprehensive unit tests with ≥80% coverage and maintain technical documentation
  • Conduct code reviews emphasizing safety, correctness, and regulatory compliance
  • Solve complex engineering challenges in safety-critical regulated environments

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of professional C# and.NET development experience
  • Strong expertise with.NET Framework or.NET Core/.NET 5+
  • Hands-on WPF and MVVM architecture experience
  • Proficiency with object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and design patterns
  • Upper-intermediate English proficiency

Preferred:

  • ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, or MudBlazor experience
  • Azure cloud services (App Services, App Configuration, Application Insights)
  • Hardware-software product development background
  • RDLC reporting experience
