About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital consultancy based in Munich that delivers end-to-end digital solutions for diverse clients. Our talent team is seeking a Software Engineer to join their agile development teams and build reliable, performant, and maintainable software systems.

This role offers the chance to work on varied projects spanning digital product development, platform engineering, and custom software solutions. You'll take ownership of defined technical areas, make architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Independently implement complex features, components, interfaces, and technical subsystems
• Evaluate solutions based on quality, effort, scalability, security, and long-term maintainability
• Identify technical risks and dependencies, developing concrete mitigation strategies
• Ensure stable releases through testing, code reviews, documentation, and clean integration practices
• Communicate technical impacts on timing, scope, quality, and operations to non-technical stakeholders
• Improve technical workflows and provide mentorship to junior engineers
• Plan and manage clearly defined work areas autonomously

What We're Looking For

• Several years of hands-on software development experience building digital products and platforms
• Strong proficiency with clean code principles, testing methodologies, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, performance optimization, and security best practices
• Proven ability to independently plan and execute defined technical areas
• Experience evaluating technical options based on quality, impact, effort, and feasibility
• Excellent communication skills with clients, team members, and stakeholders
• Track record of knowledge sharing, supporting junior developers, and pragmatically improving team processes
• Fluency in both German and English
