What You'll Do

• Evaluate stakeholder needs and translate them into practical system architectures and designs for scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Direct the integration, configuration, testing, and rollout of hardware, software, and networked components while minimizing disruption.
• Perform root-cause analysis on system issues, apply corrective measures, and implement proactive monitoring to sustain reliability.
• Partner with multidisciplinary groups to refine processes, document configurations, and uphold relevant technical standards.
• Identify opportunities for system enhancements, recommend upgrades, and help drive continuous operational improvement.
• Share expertise by mentoring less experienced colleagues and contributing to knowledge-sharing across the engineering function.

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Significant professional experience performing systems engineering duties, including design, implementation, and sustainment activities.
• Solid working knowledge of operating systems, networking principles, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve multifaceted technical problems under varying conditions.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills paired with the capacity to lead technical discussions and coordinate across teams.
• Willingness to work full-time onsite at the Fort Belvoir, VA, US site in support of day-to-day operational requirements.
