Senior Systems Engineer

Radiancetech is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL on a full-time basis. You'll take ownership of critical infrastructure, driving technical excellence and innovation across our systems and operations.

About the Role

As a Senior Systems Engineer at Radiancetech, you'll architect and maintain enterprise-grade systems that underpin our operations. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to influence how we scale, secure, and optimize our infrastructure while mentoring engineers and partnering with teams across the organization.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise systems infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments
• Develop and implement infrastructure automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual overhead
• Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and implement preventive measures to ensure reliability and uptime
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize application performance and ensure infrastructure scalability
• Establish and document systems architecture, configurations, and operational procedures for team knowledge sharing
• Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities, security posture, and organizational resilience
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of infrastructure practices

Requirements

• Extensive experience with systems administration, infrastructure management, and network operations
• Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows server environments
• Demonstrated expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools including Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent technologies
• Solid understanding of security best practices, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
