We are representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization that is at the forefront of supporting AI workloads at scale. They are seeking a Senior Specialist Field Engineer - Security to join their Customer Experience organization in London. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud infrastructure technology while focusing on securing containerized workloads in production environments.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise clients, leading security initiatives across their cloud platform deployments. You will have the opportunity to shape security best practices, prototype solutions, and influence product development while working with some of the most demanding AI and machine learning workloads in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers on security matters, with a focus on securing Kubernetes workloads within cloud infrastructure environments
• Collaborate with customers to understand their security requirements and design tailored solutions that align with their compliance and operational needs
• Lead proof of concept initiatives that demonstrate security capabilities and best practices within customer environments
• Drive technical leadership during customer engagements, presentations, and workshops, addressing security queries and concerns
• Act as a liaison between customers and internal security product and engineering teams, identifying opportunities for product enhancement
• Provide insights on security features, functionality, and performance, contributing to product strategy discussions
• Conduct technical reviews and security assessments of customer workloads, identifying optimization opportunities
• Stay current with developments in Kubernetes security, cloud computing, and infrastructure trends, sharing expertise with stakeholders
• Lead prototyping and research efforts for emerging security products and solutions
• Represent our client at conferences and industry events with occasional travel requirements

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of proven experience as a Solutions Architect, Field Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or similar role in cloud infrastructure, focusing on building distributed systems or HPC/cloud services with expertise in securing Kubernetes workloads
• Fluency in cloud computing concepts, architecture, and technologies with hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud solutions
• Proven track record building customer relationships and communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with GPUs typically used in AI/ML applications and associated networking technologies
• Deep understanding of administrating Kubernetes clusters including controls such as RBAC, admission controllers, and container security
• Proven experience describing security concepts clearly, along with best practices and understanding of the security tooling landscape in Kubernetes environments

Preferred qualifications:

• Code contributions to open-source inference frameworks
• Experience with scripting and automation related to securing Kubernetes environments
• Experience building solutions across multi-cloud environments
• Client or customer-facing publications or talks on latency, optimization, or advanced architectures
