About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential digital solutions organization in Köln that delivers technology projects with significant societal impact. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale IT initiatives across diverse technical environments. This role offers the opportunity to guide interdisciplinary teams through the complete project lifecycle while shaping digital transformation strategies for clients across multiple sectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead large IT projects using agile, classical, or hybrid methodologies from initiation through delivery
- Translate client requirements into technical solutions and processes with interdisciplinary teams; serve as Product Owner in agile contexts
- Manage projects across varied technology stacks including content management systems, form management platforms, low-code environments, custom application development, and cloud infrastructure
- Provide strategic consulting on digital transformation throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate large interdisciplinary project teams and manage interfaces between diverse stakeholders
- Design and facilitate client workshops, developing strategies for efficient implementation of digital solutions
- Identify optimization opportunities in internal and external collaboration, develop targeted recommendations, and proactively shape change processes
- Advance project management methodologies and provide guidance to PM colleagues as part of senior-level responsibilities
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience managing IT projects with demonstrated project leadership capabilities
- Proficiency in agile or classical project methodologies; certification preferred (PMI/PMP, Prince2, IPMA, Scrum PSPO/PSM, LeSS, or SAFe Agilist)
- Passion for delivering outstanding digital projects such as websites, intranets, applications, or specialized systems
- Enthusiasm for complex technical challenges and strong client engagement skills with awareness of business development opportunities
- Excellent communication abilities across all organizational levels with the capacity to convey complex topics clearly to varied audiences
- Completed university degree
- Very good German and English language skills, written and spoken
