Senior Project Architect

C.T. Male Associates, a 100% employee-owned architectural and engineering firm, seeks an experienced Senior Project Architect for our Latham, New York location. In this full-time, salaried position, you'll lead architectural initiatives across our multi-discipline practice in the Northeast, driving design excellence and project delivery.

Position Summary

As a Senior Project Architect at C.T. Male Associates, you will oversee complex architectural projects from conception through completion, serving as a senior technical lead within our Architectural Services team. You'll manage design strategy, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure projects meet client expectations, regulatory requirements, and our firm's quality standards. This role offers the opportunity to shape the direction of significant projects while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the firm's continued growth as an employee-owned practice.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and project delivery across diverse project types and scales
• Direct design teams and coordinate with engineering disciplines to achieve integrated project solutions
• Manage client relationships, presentations, and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery
• Review design documents, specifications, and construction administration work for quality and compliance
• Contribute to business development and proposal efforts for new client opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Extensive professional experience as a project architect or equivalent senior-level position
• Proven track record leading architectural projects and managing design teams
• Strong knowledge of building codes, design standards, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication and client management capabilities
• Professional licensure (PE, RA, or equivalent) preferred
