About This Opportunity
We are representing a fast-growing confidential AI technology company in London. Our client is building platforms that enable organizations to deploy custom AI agents for document-intensive workflows in finance and insurance. They work with multi-modal data and the latest foundation models, delivering verifiable outputs with full audit trails and transparent reasoning.
This is a Senior Platform Engineer role with a small, high-impact team responsible for cloud infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, developer experience, compliance, and the platform layer that powers AI workloads at enterprise scale.
Responsibilities
- Own infrastructure as code in Terraform across AWS (multi-region), GCP, and Azure environments
- Manage alerting, observability (Prometheus, Grafana), reliability, load testing, and disaster recovery processes
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and improve build times and developer workflows
- Run the platform infrastructure supporting AI workloads across AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI, and Azure AI services, with a focus on reliability and cost optimization
- Collaborate directly with enterprise customers and commercial teams to troubleshoot infrastructure and security matters
- Drive compliance initiatives and participate in on-call rotation
- Shape how engineering teams use AI coding agents and sandboxed environments across the organization
What We're Looking For
- Strong production experience with AWS, ideally multi-region deployments
- Hands-on experience with GCP; Azure experience is a bonus
- Understanding of how model consumption works through each major cloud provider
- Deep expertise with Terraform, observability tooling, and CI/CD systems
- Solid Python skills (Elixir experience or willingness to learn is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills and comfort explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers
- Self-directed approach to problem-solving; able to identify issues proactively without waiting for tickets
- Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
