Senior O&M Asset Manager – Europe

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization seeking a Senior O&M Asset Manager to oversee operational excellence across European solar and energy storage portfolios. In this role, you will:

• Hold senior accountability for asset management of photovoltaic and battery storage systems, ensuring compliance with long-term service agreements, performance targets, and budgets
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Asset Managers, setting clear objectives and building technical capability across the function
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical, contractual, warranty, and corrective maintenance issues
• Perform advanced contract analysis to identify risks, obligations, and optimization opportunities, actively supporting service agreement negotiations
• Provide technical oversight by reviewing root cause analyses, interpreting monitoring data, and assessing equipment performance logs
• Lead service partner performance management in collaboration with procurement and operations teams, focusing on cost control and contractual compliance
• Drive data-driven asset management approaches including availability analysis, spare parts strategy, and lifecycle cost optimization
• Coordinate cross-functionally with projects, sales, engineering, and headquarters teams to support asset transitions and continuous improvement
• Contribute directly to profitability through cost optimization, risk management, and performance-driven decision-making
• Champion continuous improvement in processes, reporting, asset reliability, and team effectiveness across the European region

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings a strong combination of technical expertise and leadership experience:

• Degree in engineering, business, contracting, or related technical field
• Strong technical background in photovoltaic and battery energy storage technologies
• Extensive experience in operations and maintenance asset management, handling complex portfolios and long-term service agreements
• Advanced expertise in contract analysis including warranties, service level agreements, penalties, liabilities, and risk allocation
• Proven ability to review and validate root cause analyses, and analyze monitoring data at a senior decision-making level
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, with ability to coach performance and drive accountability
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills with customers, internal teams, and service partners
• Highly analytical, structured, and commercially minded with focus on profitability and value creation
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools with advanced data analysis capabilities
• Ability to operate effectively within multicultural, matrix organizations with regular interaction at senior leadership levels
