Senior Marketing Manager – Government Solutions (f/m/x)

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a fast-growing European satellite analytics and AI firm serving critical infrastructure and industrial clients worldwide. They are building their first dedicated marketing function for their government and defence vertical—a greenfield opportunity to shape positioning, content, and visibility from day one.

This is a Senior Marketing Manager role focused exclusively on defence and government solutions. You will own the entire marketing picture for this business line: product positioning, strategic communications, PR, events, and executive visibility across Germany and Europe. You'll work closely with business development and leadership to accelerate growth in a sensitive, high-stakes market.

Responsibilities

• Own government and defence positioning, messaging, and value propositions—resilience, situational awareness, intelligence applications—across the client's portfolio
• Build and maintain the full collateral suite: capability briefs, pitch decks, one-pagers, and materials supporting tenders
• Manage government-facing web presence and ensure messaging stands out in the European defence-tech and Earth observation landscape
• Develop and execute the strategic communications and content plan: white papers, expert articles, use-case stories
• Lead press releases and announcements (contracts, partnerships, milestones) in partnership with leadership
• Build relationships with defence, security, and space trade media across Germany and Europe
• Drive executive visibility: LinkedIn presence, interviews, speaking opportunities for government leadership
• Own the defence and government event calendar across Europe (industry conferences, security forums, trade shows, NATO-affiliated events)
• Run event participation end-to-end: selection, budget, booth presence, speaking slots, lead follow-up
• Create the government marketing playbook from scratch—processes, templates, agency and freelancer network as needed
• Track what works (share of voice, inbound interest, event outcomes) and feed insights back into planning

What We're Looking For

• 6–7+ years of marketing, sales, or similar experience in the defence or security sector
• Familiarity with defence-tech, military terminology, and communication with armed forces
• Generalist track record covering product marketing, content, PR, and events—not just one discipline
• Excellent writing and editing in German (C1+) and English—from press releases to capability briefs
• Understanding of how government and defence organizations communicate and procure (protocol, sensitivity, long cycles)
• Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin (hybrid work); willingness to travel approximately 20–30% across Europe
• Eligibility for security clearance (typically requiring EU or NATO citizenship)
• Familiarity with Earth observation, space, or geospatial technology is a plus
• Additional European languages (French especially useful for EU/NATO scope) is a plus
• Public affairs or government relations exposure is a plus
