The Opportunity

Ascendis Pharma is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented leader to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our global meetings and events portfolio. You'll work at the intersection of corporate communications, business development, and scientific engagement, orchestrating signature conferences, symposia, and corporate gatherings across our U.S. and international locations. Your leadership will amplify Ascendis's presence in the biopharmaceutical industry while building relationships with key stakeholders, healthcare professionals, and scientific communities. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on how Ascendis engages with patients, clinicians, and the broader healthcare ecosystem.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive event strategies aligned with business objectives and corporate communications goals
• Manage end-to-end event delivery for global conferences, annual symposia, trade shows, and corporate meetings across multiple regions
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Medical Affairs, R&D, and Communications teams to ensure events meet strategic and operational goals
• Oversee event budgets, vendor management, logistics, and timelines while maintaining quality standards
• Coordinate both in-person and virtual event components, ensuring seamless experiences for attendees and participants
• Build and mentor event team members or external partners to scale event capabilities
• Monitor event metrics, ROI, and attendee feedback to optimize future programming

Requirements

• 7+ years of events management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior coordinator role
• Proven expertise managing global, multi-location conferences or large-scale corporate events
• Strong project management, budget oversight, and vendor relationship skills
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceutical environments preferred
• Proficiency with event management software and virtual event platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Event Management, or related field
