About the Role

As a member of Micron’s Technology Development team in Fab 4, you will partner with process engineers to define and refine metrology strategies that support DRAM product development and high‑volume manufacturing.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and validate metrology techniques for critical DRAM layers including film thickness, critical dimension, and material composition.
• Maintain and calibrate measurement tools to ensure repeatable, accurate data across development and production lines.
• Analyze metrology data to identify process variances, drive root‑cause investigations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with integration, equipment, and yield teams to translate measurement insights into process improvements.
• Document procedures, create work instructions, and train technicians and engineers on proper metrology practices.
• Participate in technology roadmap planning, evaluating emerging measurement solutions for future DRAM nodes.

What We're Looking For

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with semiconductor metrology tools such as scatterometry, ellipsometry, CD‑SEM, or film thickness gauges.
• Strong understanding of DRAM process flow and the impact of measurement accuracy on device performance and yield.
• Proficiency with data analysis techniques, statistical process control, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for handling large measurement datasets.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional, fast‑paced development environments.
• A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with advances in measurement technology.
