Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (Hybrid Work Option)

CDM Smith seeks a Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis for a full-time position in our Cloverdale, Shelby County office to lead financial strategy and analysis initiatives for our growing organization.

About the Role

This senior leadership position offers the opportunity to drive financial planning processes, oversee budgeting cycles, and deliver actionable insights that shape strategic business decisions. You'll manage a dedicated team focused on financial forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting across the organization.

What You'll Do

• Develop and refine annual and long-term financial plans, partnering with department leaders to align budgets with organizational priorities
• Lead forecasting initiatives, analyzing financial trends and delivering monthly and quarterly performance reviews to senior management
• Manage the financial planning and analysis team, supporting professional development and maintaining rigorous analytical standards
• Build financial models and analytical dashboards that translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and support operational efficiency initiatives across the company
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and project teams to understand business drivers and improve performance

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, and management, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity
• Demonstrated proficiency with financial modeling, forecasting methodologies, and business intelligence platforms
• Strong expertise in budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and hands-on experience with accounting or enterprise resource planning systems
• Excellent ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders and executives
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline; MBA or professional certifications such as CPA or CFA preferred
• Strategic orientation with proven ability to identify trends and translate financial insights into business recommendations
