About the Role
This position combines deep analytical work with hands-on project leadership in distribution engineering. What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive distribution system analysis and design studies to support grid planning and expansion
- Develop load forecasts, capacity assessments, and interconnection studies for new and existing infrastructure
- Lead technical design efforts for distribution circuits, substations, and protection systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams, operations, and project management to ensure feasibility and regulatory compliance
- Document findings and recommendations in reports and technical specifications
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements and engineering standards
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in distribution engineering within the power delivery industry
- Strong background in electrical engineering with proficiency in power systems analysis
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to technical accuracy
- Proficiency with industry-standard analysis tools and software platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for translating complex technical concepts
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites and field locations
