The Cards squad is at the heart of this mission, owning systems that power card issuing, lifecycle management, and transaction processing across Europe. We handle millions of transactions daily and are scaling these systems to support new product capabilities while laying the foundations for a more global, resilient platform. This role involves taking ownership of complex backend services, contributing to technical roadmaps, and ensuring high-throughput, distributed architecture.
Responsibilities
- Owning and leading the end-to-end delivery of backend services within the Cards EU domain, including observability, testing, and production support
- Participating in architectural discussions and proposing solutions for complex, distributed systems challenges
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and smooth operations
Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise in building high-throughput, distributed backend services
- Experience with observability tools and practices
- A solid understanding of testing principles and methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
