The Security Team Specialist I is an entry-level security position with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, part of our broader effort to maintain safe, secure facilities across state agencies. What You'll Do

• Protect state buildings and facilities through access control and monitoring
• Conduct routine patrols and visual inspections to identify potential security risks
• Respond promptly to reported security incidents and safety concerns
• Maintain accurate records and logs of security activities and observations
• Coordinate with team members and other state employees on security matters
• Adhere to state security protocols, regulations, and established procedures

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of one year of full-time experience—or the equivalent in part-time hours—in security, facility protection, building operations, or personnel protection roles
• Strong observational and communication skills
• Ability to maintain attention to detail in routine and urgent situations
• Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality
• Physical ability to perform security duties including standing and walking for extended periods
• Willingness to pass a background investigation as required by the state
