About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare organization seeking a Scheduling Specialist Associate to join their revenue cycle operations team. This remote position focuses on scheduling patients for diagnostic services while ensuring accurate documentation, insurance verification, and exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and pre-register patients for diagnostic procedures based on physician orders
  • Select and maintain accurate medical records to ensure patient safety
  • Provide clear patient instructions and obtain complete demographic and insurance information
  • Validate insurance coverage and process pre-authorizations as needed
  • Perform point-of-service collections and financial counseling when appropriate
  • Deliver excellent customer service throughout all patient interactions
  • Support additional duties as assigned by your supervisor

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to obtain Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification within 9 months of hire
  • Experience working with insurance companies and pre-authorizations
  • Ability to work remotely with occasional travel to client sites as needed

Preferred Experience:

  • 1-3 years of general work experience
  • 2+ years in a healthcare-related position
  • Patient access or revenue cycle experience with managed care and insurance processes
  • Typing speed of at least 35 WPM
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with multiple computer systems and dual monitors
  • Strong customer service background
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to multitask independently
  • Openness to innovation and process improvement, including emerging technologies
