Role Overview
As an SDR at Powtoon, you're the bridge between marketing and our enterprise sales team. Your role is to identify and engage potential customers, qualify their needs, and hand off qualified opportunities to our Account Executives. You'll work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your outreach sets the tone for successful customer relationships. This is a foundational position in our sales organisation, perfect for those eager to learn the full sales cycle and develop valuable business development skills.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Prospect and outreach to potential customers via email, phone, and LinkedIn, using research and insight to personalise your approach
- Qualify inbound leads and determine fit for Powtoon's platform based on defined criteria
- Maintain accurate records and activity tracking in our CRM, ensuring data hygiene and pipeline integrity
- Collaborate with the marketing team to refine lead scoring and develop targeted outreach campaigns
- Hit activity and pipeline targets whilst exceeding quality benchmarks for qualified opportunities
- Build genuine relationships with prospects and represent Powtoon's brand professionally and authentically
What You Bring
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to engage prospects at all levels
- Proven ability to research prospects, personalise outreach, and navigate sales conversations
- Comfort with CRM platforms and sales technology; familiarity with HubSpot or Salesforce is a plus
- Resilience and coachability; you thrive on feedback and continuously refine your approach
- Self-motivation and accountability; you take ownership of your targets and personal development
- Interest in SaaS, video, communication tools, or B2B sales (prior experience welcome but not essential)
