About the Role

As a Sales Associate at Dollar General in Steelville, you are the face of the store — the first person customers see and the reason they come back. This is a full-time, in-store position where your energy, reliability, and customer focus directly shape the shopping experience for your neighbors and community.

What You'll Do

• Greet and assist customers throughout the store, answering questions and helping them find what they need
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions accurately, including cash, card, and digital payments
• Stock, face, and rotate merchandise to keep shelves full, organized, and visually appealing
• Unload and process incoming freight, placing product in the correct locations efficiently
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment — including sales floor, stockroom, and restrooms
• Support loss prevention by following company procedures and staying alert to shrink risks
• Assist with store opening and closing procedures as assigned
• Collaborate with store leadership to meet daily operational goals
