RN, Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab – Part-Time

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Cath Lab provides direct patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Operating within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, you will deliver clinical support sensitive to the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions of patient care. This is a part-time position offering a day shift schedule: three 9-hour shifts per week plus on-call rotation, providing scheduling flexibility for experienced nursing professionals.

Core Duties

• Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures and monitor vital signs throughout interventions
• Establish and maintain IV access; administer medications under physician direction
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized cardiac lab equipment to support procedural workflows
• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during diagnostic and therapeutic catheterizations
• Monitor patients in the immediate post-procedure phase and provide care guidance before discharge
• Document clinical observations, patient responses, and procedural details in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about procedure expectations and recovery instructions
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols within the catheterization laboratory
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary cardiac team to optimize patient outcomes

What You Bring

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Prior experience in acute care nursing or specialty clinical settings (preferred)
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and ability to work effectively within a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
