About the Role
As an Instrument Technician on our commercial land surveying team, you will operate modern survey instruments in the field, capturing accurate measurements that support construction, development, and ALTA/NSPS projects. This on-site position is based in Coppell, Dallas, and is ideal for a detail-driven professional who enjoys hands-on outdoor work and contributing to high-quality, timely deliverables for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and operate total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and related surveying instruments in the field.
- Collect, record, and verify field measurements for commercial and construction land surveys.
- Support licensed surveyors and crew members during boundary, topographic, and ALTA/NSPS survey work.
- Maintain accurate field notes and ensure data is delivered promptly and reliably.
- Inspect, clean, and safeguard surveying equipment to keep it in dependable working condition.
- Follow safety procedures and site protocols while working at various commercial job sites.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with or a strong willingness to learn land surveying instruments and field data collection.
- Solid attention to detail and a commitment to measurement accuracy.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and perform physical fieldwork.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills for collaborating with survey crews.
- A valid driver's license for travel to commercial project sites in and around Dallas.
