About the Role
This part-time Respiratory Therapist position offers the flexibility to contribute to patient care across various clinical settings within Methodist Hospital Stone Oak. You'll provide essential respiratory care services, working closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Assess and treat patients with cardiopulmonary disorders using evidence-based respiratory care protocols
- Manage mechanical ventilation, perform airway management, and administer inhaled medications
- Conduct pulmonary function testing and blood gas analysis to guide clinical decision-making
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment as clinically indicated
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all respiratory interventions and patient progress
- Support emergency response and code team activities as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) certification preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- State of Texas respiratory therapy license in good standing
- Demonstrated competency in patient assessment, critical thinking, and clinical judgment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with ability to work effectively across departments
- Professional commitment to ethical patient care and organizational values
