Thermoforming Manager

Top Recruiters is seeking an experienced Thermoforming Manager to lead technical operations at our Mansfield, Bristol County facility on a full-time basis.

About the Role

As Thermoforming Manager, you will own the day-to-day technical direction of the thermoforming operation — from team performance and equipment reliability to process optimization and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on leadership position for a seasoned professional who combines deep thermoforming knowledge with the ability to develop people and drive measurable results on the production floor.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and develop the thermoforming technical team, setting clear performance expectations and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and extend asset life across the thermoforming line
• Identify and implement process improvements that reduce cycle times, minimize material waste, and increase throughput without compromising quality
• Troubleshoot thermoforming defects — including thinning, warping, webbing, and surface inconsistencies — and establish root-cause corrective actions
• Ensure full compliance with applicable safety regulations, environmental standards, and internal quality systems
• Partner with engineering and production teams on tooling, mold qualification, and new product introductions
• Monitor key performance indicators, produce operational reports, and present improvement roadmaps to senior leadership
• Evaluate thermoplastic materials and recommend specifications that balance performance with cost

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing thermoforming operations, including direct supervision of technical or production teams
• Strong working knowledge of vacuum forming, pressure forming, or twin-sheet forming processes and associated tooling
• Track record of leading process improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives with quantifiable outcomes
• Solid understanding of maintenance systems, equipment troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance scheduling
• Familiarity with quality management principles and regulatory compliance requirements in a manufacturing environment
• Effective communicator able to translate technical findings into clear direction for both floor-level teams and senior stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production setting
