As a Residential Mortgage Loan Originator at Bank OZK, you'll be the trusted advisor guiding clients through the mortgage process. What You'll Do

• Meet with prospective borrowers to discuss their home financing needs and review their financial situation
• Analyze credit reports, employment verification, and asset documentation to assess loan eligibility
• Explain loan programs, terms, rates, and closing costs in clear, accessible language
• Prepare and submit loan applications with complete and accurate documentation
• Coordinate with underwriting, appraisals, title services, and closing teams to move loans through the pipeline
• Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources
• Stay current on mortgage products, lending guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Meet production goals while maintaining high service standards and compliance

What We're Looking For

• Valid residential mortgage loan originator license or ability to obtain one in North Carolina
• Proven experience in residential mortgage origination or related lending roles
• Strong understanding of underwriting standards, loan programs, and the mortgage approval process
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
• Ability to build relationships and identify business development opportunities
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and compliance
• Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and strong work ethic
