Repossession & Remarketing Manager – Torrance, California

CommunityAmerica Credit Union is hiring a Repossession & Remarketing Manager in Rolling Hills Estates, Los Angeles County, to lead recovery operations for delinquent loan portfolios from first assignment through final resolution.

About the Role

As the Repossession & Remarketing Manager, you will own the complete asset-recovery lifecycle for loans that have entered default. Based in Rolling Hills Estates and supporting the Torrance, California market, this full-time, on-site position blends operational leadership, vendor oversight, and compliance discipline. You will set recovery strategy, monitor performance, and partner with teams across the credit union to protect the institution while resolving accounts fairly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the full asset-recovery workflow for charged-off and defaulted loan accounts, from repossession assignment to post-sale closure.
• Coordinate and supervise third-party repossession agents and remarketing vendors to ensure timely, accurate performance.
• Manage collateral disposition, including remarketing and sale of recovered assets to maximize value.
• Handle post-sale resolution activities, such as deficiency follow-up and account finalization.
• Build reporting and analytics that track recovery results and inform strategy adjustments.
• Collaborate across departments to align recovery practices with broader lending and collections goals.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading loan recovery, repossession, or collateral remarketing functions.
• Working knowledge of the regulatory framework and internal controls governing default and collections activity.
• Proven ability to manage external vendors and hold them accountable to performance standards.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting recovery data and reporting on outcomes.
• Effective cross-functional communication and team leadership capabilities.
