Rehab – Occupational Therapist

Stern is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in Laurel, Prince George's County, Maryland. In this hands-on role, you'll help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through evidence-based therapeutic treatment.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist at Stern, you'll deliver direct patient care, guide functional recovery, and make a tangible difference in people's lives. You'll work in-person with patients in our Laurel facility, designing individualized treatment plans and providing skilled interventions tailored to each person's goals and abilities.

What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive functional assessments to identify patient deficits and strengths
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Provide direct therapeutic treatment to help patients achieve independence in daily activities
• Monitor and document patient progress toward therapeutic goals
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation per facility and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and home exercise programs

What We're Looking For

• Current, valid occupational therapy license in Maryland
• OTR/L credential (Occupational Therapy Registered/Licensed)
• Clinical experience in rehabilitation or acute care settings
• Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to patient-centered care and positive outcomes
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
