Registered Nurse (RN,GN) – Rehab HHIRU

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in our Rehabilitation Unit, you'll provide skilled nursing care to patients recovering from acute illness, surgery, and injury. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to helping patients regain independence and return to their daily lives. Located at our Simsbury facility (80 Seymour St, HH Conklin), this role combines clinical expertise with patient advocacy in a dynamic healthcare setting.

What You'll Do

• Assess patient status and monitor progress toward rehabilitation goals throughout your shift
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families about recovery expectations and self-care strategies
• Document nursing interventions and patient outcomes in the electronic health record
• Respond to patient needs and assist with activities of daily living
• Maintain a safe, clean patient environment and follow infection control procedures

What We're Looking For

• Current Connecticut RN licensure (RN or GN status acceptable)
• Clinical knowledge of rehabilitation nursing principles and post-acute care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes
• Physical ability to perform nursing duties including standing, walking, and patient mobility assistance
