Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, organized environment, follow infection-control protocols, and uphold regulatory and unit standards throughout the day shift.
• Mentor newer staff or students when needed and participate in unit quality-improvement initiatives that enhance care delivery.

Skills & Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license and eligibility to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Proven clinical competence in medical-surgical or comprehensive medical nursing, including assessment, medication administration, and care planning.
• Strong critical-thinking, prioritization, and communication skills suited to a fast-paced day-shift unit environment.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and to educate patients and families with clarity and empathy.
• Current Basic Life Support certification; additional certifications such as ACLS are valued for comprehensive medical care.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and a commitment to accurate, timely documentation.
• Flexibility to fulfill full-time day-shift requirements while maintaining professional standards of reliability and patient advocacy.
