Position Summary

The Ready Mix Plant Manager leads all facets of ready-mix concrete production and plant operations for CalPortland's El Monte facility. Working directly with batch operators, drivers, and support staff, you ensure consistent, high-quality concrete production that meets customer specifications. This position combines hands-on operational leadership with strategic planning and personnel management, requiring you to oversee equipment, budget, compliance, and site performance daily.

Responsibilities

• Supervise batch operators, truck drivers, and plant staff to achieve production targets and maintain quality standards
• Manage plant equipment utilization, schedule preventive maintenance, and optimize operational efficiency
• Develop operational budgets, plan daily production schedules, and control costs across the plant
• Enforce safety protocols, environmental compliance measures, and regulatory requirements consistently
• Coordinate with customers, sales teams, and dispatch to ensure on-time delivery and product quality
• Oversee site facilities, inventory management, material handling, and day-to-day logistics
• Track and report on plant performance metrics, safety records, and operational KPIs

What You Bring

• Proven management experience in ready-mix concrete production, batch plant operations, or heavy manufacturing
• Demonstrated leadership capability with a track record of managing production teams effectively
