Functional Family Therapist

Eckerd Connects is hiring a full-time Functional Family Therapist in Pittsburg, Crawford County, to bring evidence-based, in-home support to youth and the families who care for them.

About the Role

As a Functional Family Therapist with Eckerd Connects, you will work directly inside family homes across Pittsburg, Crawford County, delivering Functional Family Therapy (FFT) to caregivers and young people facing relational challenges. Working within our Community & Social Services team, you will help households build stronger bonds, healthier communication, and lasting stability. This is an on-site, full-time position rooted in the community we serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide in-home Functional Family Therapy (FFT) to youth and their caregivers using the structured FFT model.
• Carry out thorough family assessments to understand each household's strengths and needs.
• Apply evidence-based therapeutic interventions that promote healthier relationships and improved child wellbeing.
• Connect families with relevant community resources and coordinate ongoing support.
• Collaborate with team members and local partners to deliver consistent, family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Background in counseling, social work, family therapy, or a closely related human services field.
• Familiarity with Functional Family Therapy or other evidence-based, in-home intervention approaches.
• Skill in conducting family assessments and building trust with youth and caregivers.
• Ability to travel to and work within family homes throughout Pittsburg, Crawford County.
• Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to improving outcomes for children and families.
