Python Backend Engineer (m/f/x)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization that is transforming how companies approach product development and supply chain management. Our talent team is seeking experienced Python Backend Engineers to join a remote team working on enterprise-grade solutions that enable data-driven decision-making at scale.

This is a permanent, full-time position available to candidates based anywhere in the EU. You'll work on complex backend systems, collaborate directly with end users to understand requirements, and build the data infrastructure that powers mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Gather and translate functional requirements through direct customer collaboration
• Design and build efficient, data-powered REST APIs using Python
• Develop end-to-end data pipelines and integrate AI models to support API functionality
• Work closely with UX designers and front-end engineers to implement cohesive solutions
• Contribute to testing, debugging, and maintaining code quality across large-scale applications
• Participate in architectural decisions for enterprise-grade systems

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience as a Python backend developer, with at least 2 years in B2B environments
• Strong proficiency with Python frameworks such as Flask or Bottle
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and RESTful API design
• Solid understanding of databases and SQL; experience with graph databases is a plus
• Proven ability to build and maintain complex data pipelines
• Track record working on large, enterprise-grade applications
• Comfortable engaging with customers to clarify technical requirements
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Must be based in the EU with authorization to work in Germany or another EU country
